Here at Mountain View Eye, we are proud to announce that we are a part of InfantSEE®, a public health program, managed by Optometry Cares® – the AOA Foundation. This program is designed to ensure that eye and vision care becomes an essential part of infant wellness care to improve a child’s quality of life. Under this program, participating optometrists provide a comprehensive infant eye assessment between 6 and 12 months of age as a no-cost public service. For more information on the InfantSEE® program, please visit www.infantsee.org.

Although no eye or vision problems may seem apparent in your healthy 6 month old baby, it’s imperative to ensure healthy and proper eye function at a young age; vision development and eye health problems are easier to correct with early treatment intervention.

During your child’s appointment, we will check for the following:

  • Excessive or unequal amounts of nearsightedness, farsightedness, or astigmatism
  • Eye movement ability
  • Eye health problems

If your child is in need of prescription lenses, we offer kid friendly and fashionable frames such as Miraflex, Dilly Dally frames, Juicy Couture, and Lilly Pulitzer!

In addition, we offer a myriad of sunglasses for children of all ages and can prescribe impact resistant, UV blocking, and blue filter lenses to every child.
