We are transitioning to a world with COVID-19 as an endemic virus. We still need to be aware of COVID-19 community levels to determine when wearing a mask is necessary. Individuals can still choose to wear a mask at any time to better protect themselves and their loved ones against virus spread.
We are updating our policy that has been in place since the start of the pandemic. Employees and patients may choose to wear a mask at their discretion as long as COVID-19 community levels for our county remain at a low level. If levels of COVID-19 increase to medium or high levels, we will return to our policy of employees and patients masking while indoors at our clinic.
For Our Patients:
- Management reserves the right to ask patients who are showing signs of illness to wear a mask while in our clinic or to reschedule their appointment.
- Patients may request staff and doctors to wear a mask during their visit which we will comply with this request. Â Mountain View Eye will continue to provide masks to patients when needed.
- The CDC Emergency Temporary Standard requiring screening of patients is still in effect. Screening consists of asking patients about symptoms.
- There are also hand sanitizer stations around the office.
For Our Staff:
- Mountain View Eye management reserves the right to ask employees who are showing signs of illness (coughing, Sneezing, Etc.) to mask while in our clinic or be tested for COVID-19.
- We will also continue our current sanitation and disinfection protocols that are already in place.
- There are also hand sanitizer stations around the office.
